About the Moving Hub

The Moving Hub is a small set of free, fast, no-signup tools that turn a single move date into a real plan. There are three: a utility transfer planner that tells you what to call and when as you shut off one home and start another, a whole-move estimator that turns a room-by-room description into a box count, a truck size, and a supplies budget, and a moving timeline generator that back-plans the whole move onto your calendar. Each runs entirely in your browser, with no account and no address required.

Who runs it

The Moving Hub is operated by Crossroads Technologies LLC, a small independent studio that builds focused, single-purpose web utilities. There is no larger platform behind the tools, no account system, and no content farm. The guidance, the calculations, and the data module are curated and maintained directly.

About the deregulated-energy data

The utility transfer planner reads a 50-state data module that records which states have residential electricity or natural gas retail choice. That module was last reviewed on 2026-07-22 and is drawn from State Public Utility Commission retail-choice program pages and U.S. Energy Information Administration retail-competition summaries. Retail-choice programs change with legislation and regulatory orders, and some are capped or regional, so the tools are a planning aid, not legal advice. Always confirm the current rules with your destination state's Public Utility Commission before you sign a supply contract.

What we believe a good tool looks like

A good utility does one job, does it quickly, and respects your time and your privacy. It should give a clear answer without demanding an email address, load fast on a phone, and be honest about the limits of its estimates. Moving is stressful enough; the tools here exist to remove a few of its sharpest edges, not to add another login to your life.
